Revisiting: Taste changes and food aversion, reported and discussed Writing it up because I had to work it out twice and would rather nobody else did.

Two things I would like separated before anyone answers on Taste changes and food aversion, because they get bundled and then argued about as one thing.

The first is descriptive: what has actually been observed, by whom, and how. The second is causal: why. I am asking about the first only.

The published rates come from populations that were titrated on a defined schedule with clinical supervision. Rates from a forum are not comparable and are biased by who chooses to post.

I read the earlier replies on Taste changes and food aversion twice before writing this, because I had assumed the opposite and wanted to be sure I was disagreeing with what was said rather than what I expected.

Constipation is reported at least as often as nausea and is discussed a fraction as much. Fluid, fibre and movement are the boring answers and they are the ones that work.
