I was wrong about Sulphur-smelling eructation in a thread last spring and I would like to correct it publicly rather than quietly.
The error was in the units, which changed the conclusion by an order of magnitude. Setting out the corrected version, and the way I now check for that class of mistake.
Dehydration is the mechanism behind more of the secondary complaints here than people expect. Reduced intake plus vomiting plus a warm week is a straightforward path to feeling dreadful.
Worth saying I have only my own numbers here, and n is small.
Gallbladder complications: rapid weight loss increases the risk of gallstone formation. The mechanism is not specific to this drug class. The risk is greatest in the first months when weight loss is most rapid.
