What I would tell a new member reading about Analytical identity of BPC-157 for the first time: the confident posts are not the reliable ones, and the reliable ones are longer.

Post #31 and I disagree about the size of the effect, not about the direction.

On identity: a short sequence gives a distinctive mass and a distinctive fragmentation pattern, so mass spectrometry is genuinely informative here. It is also the analysis least often supplied.

endpoint_line, post #22: Acetate content can be a substantial fraction of the mass in a short peptide. A vial labelled 5 mg may contain appreciably less than 5 mg of peptide, and the certificate frequently does not say. Same conclusion as the reply above, reached differently, which is mildly reassuring. Go to post

Publication patterns in the BPC-157 literature: a large proportion of the evidence comes from one research group. That is not necessarily wrong — one group can do excellent work — but it is worth noting when evaluating the breadth of support for a claim.
