Over-dilution: when your dose falls below one readable graduation Writing it up because I had to work it out twice and would rather nobody else did.

I have read the maintained page on this and I still have a gap, so I am asking rather than guessing.

Context: semaglutide, 7 weeks in, currently at a dose I reached by the standard four-week steps. Everything below is my own record rather than anything a clinician told me.

The specific question is the one in the title. What I have already checked: the labelling summary on the relevant documentation page, the two most-linked topics in this subcategory, and my own notes from the last 9 weeks. What I could not find is whether the answer changes at higher doses or whether it is the same arithmetic throughout.

If the answer is "it depends", I would rather know what it depends on than be given a number.

I changed my mind about Over-dilution after someone here asked me for the source and I could not produce one. That is worth saying out loud because it is the ordinary way it happens.

Preservative effectiveness is tested against a defined microbial challenge under defined conditions. It is not a licence to treat an entered vial as sterile indefinitely, and no supplier claims otherwise.

Worth stating the null on Over-dilution before we explain it: the observation may be nothing. That possibility deserves a sentence and usually does not get one.

What I want from this Over-dilution thread is the list of things that would need to be true for the claim to hold. If we can write that list, we can check it.

Coming back to post #48, because the follow-up matters more than the original answer.

The confident answers on Over-dilution and the well-sourced answers are not the same answers, which is the most useful thing I have learned reading this category.

Good question, well framed, and I would like to see it answered properly.

The reason Over-dilution is hard to answer is that the obvious measurement and the relevant quantity are not the same thing, and substituting one for the other is silent.

Answering the question post #83 raises rather than the one it answers.

Worth separating Over-dilution as a question about the compound from Over-dilution as a question about the documentation. They get answered by different people and only one of them is answerable here.
