Compounds this community declines to help with, and why — does this still hold? — that is the question, and I have not found it answered plainly anywhere I have looked.

Putting the numbers in the first post, because a question about a compound without them turns into a question about somebody's impression of it.

tirzepatide, monoisotopic mass near 4813.5 Da, 18 weeks of my own notes, and 6 lots from 3 suppliers with a purity figure on each. That is the whole basis of what follows.

What I want checked is the reasoning I have built on top of it, not the figures themselves.

The opening post describes the usual case. This is about the unusual one.

Dose conversions between related compounds in this subcategory are made far too casually. Structural similarity does not imply potency similarity and frequently does not imply the same receptor profile.

If that reads as pedantic, it is, and it has saved me twice.

The arithmetic in post #4 is right; the assumption feeding it is the part to check.

PT-141 was developed from the same family with a different receptor profile, and it has a considerably better documented human evidence base than most compounds discussed in this subcategory.

It is the sort of thing that seems obvious in retrospect and was not at the time.

Compounds this community declines to help with, and why: there are specifics in the guidelines and they are not arbitrary. They exist because of failure modes that have happened in real people, not because of prudishness.
