Fibre intake when total intake falls, and the constipation link posts 61–67
This is a continuation of a long topic, addressed by post number rather than by page. Start at post 1.
Where somebody reports losing strength, intake and training stimulus are the first two things to look at rather than the compound.
Taking post #63 at face value and following it one step further.
Protein supplements: whey, casein, and plant-based protein powders can help hit targets when whole-food intake is limited by appetite. Protein quality (all essential amino acids) matters more than form.
Two claims get bundled together under fibre intake and they need separating. The descriptive one — this is what was observed — is usually well supported. The causal one — this is why — usually is not.
Almost every disagreement in threads like this one dissolves once you say which of the two you are making.
Temperature and texture change what is tolerable for a lot of people during the first weeks, and that is worth experimenting with before concluding nothing works.
Happy to expand any of that if it is the useful part.
Post #63 put the caveat in the right place and I want to underline it.
Timing of protein: spreading protein intake across the day, with some at each meal, is more practical than trying to hit the whole target at one sitting on suppressed appetite.
