PCOS and metabolic overlap, from the point of view of someone who has read the documentation and is still stuck.

Saying which parts I have understood so that nobody wastes time re-explaining them, and where exactly the understanding stops.

Reading back through the PCOS and metabolic overlap threads from last year, the same three questions come up every time and only one of them has ever been answered properly. That seems like a documentation gap rather than a knowledge gap.

Adding the measurement that post #2 says would settle it.

Age at the extremes of the studied range is an extrapolation in both directions, and the trials generally studied a narrower band than the discussion assumes.

Multiple comorbidities: a person with diabetes, kidney disease, and cardiovascular disease is outside the studied populations in most trials. Extrapolating to that person requires reasoning from the individual component trials and mechanisms.
