I read post #89 twice before replying, because I had assumed the opposite.
The reason German is hard to answer is that the obvious measurement and the relevant quantity are not the same thing, and substituting one for the other is silent.
This is a continuation of a long topic, addressed by post number rather than by page. Start at post 1.

Prescription status is harmonised at the level of the authorisation and the practical route to a prescription is not.
I have left out the parts I could not verify.
Taking post #93 at face value and following it one step further.
Two sentences on German and then I will stop, because the rest is speculation and the thread is better without mine.

Somebody will have a better source than mine, and I hope they post it.
This follows post #97 rather than contradicting it.
I would be cautious about generalising from the German example above. It is a good example. It is one example.
Correcting a stale claim here is more valuable than adding a new one, because the stale claims are what people find first.
This is the sort of thing the wiki should carry and currently does not.
Members outside the union should note that essentially none of this transfers, including the parts phrased generally.
Not the answer, but possibly the question that gets there.
