[2026 update] Gastro-oesophageal reflux: improving or worsening?

Solved
Solved by MJayawardena in post #3
The failure mode on Gastro-oesophageal reflux is boring rather than dramatic. It is almost always the step everyone assumes was done correctly because it is too simple to get wrong.

Asking directly, because I could not find a straight answer: Gastro-oesophageal reflux: improving or worsening?

Gastro-oesophageal reflux — I have the observation and I do not trust my interpretation of it, so I am posting the observation and holding the interpretation back.

Numbers, method and the conditions under which they were collected are below. Interpret them however they warrant.

Adding a reference point for Gastro-oesophageal reflux. Mine is a single case, collected without controls, and I am posting the method alongside it so it can be discounted appropriately.

Coming back to the opening post, because the follow-up matters more than the original answer.

Post-authorisation safety studies are the place where under-studied populations eventually appear, and they are public.

The disagreement above is smaller than it looks once the terms are fixed.
