Cagrilintide molecular characteristics and analytical considerations

Cagrilintide molecular characteristics and analytical considerations — setting out what I have, and where I think it stops being reliable.

A methods question rather than a substantive one, about cagrilintide molecular characteristics and analytical.

Everyone quotes the same figure and I cannot find anyone who says how it was arrived at. That is not an accusation; it usually means the derivation is somewhere obvious and I have missed it.

Cagrilintide molecular characteristics: it is a synthetic amylin analogue, substituted to prevent the amyloidogenicity of human amylin. The sequence is short and analytically straightforward to confirm by LC-MS.

Someone will know this better than I do and I hope they say so.

Nothing to add, except that this is the answer I would give if asked.

Post #2 answers the question as asked. The question underneath it is different.

Published human data on cagrilintide alone is thinner than on the combination, which is the reverse of what most people assume from how it is discussed here.

The dosing interval: cagrilintide's half-life is roughly 7 to 8 days, suitable for weekly dosing. The pharmacokinetics are the reason the dosing schedule makes sense.

This is where my knowledge stops and I would rather mark the edge than blur it.
