Cold solution and stinging: the simplest fix posts 31–40
This is a continuation of a long topic, addressed by post number rather than by page. Start at post 1.
Two people in this thread mean different things by cold solution and stinging and are disagreeing about the definition while believing they are disagreeing about the facts. Worth pausing to define it.

Injecting into an area that has become firm: lipohypertrophy — thickened fatty tissue from repeated injection in one area — changes local tissue absorption. Avoid injecting into areas that are noticeably firm or lumpy and allow those areas to recover for at least a few months.
This is the sort of thing the wiki should carry and currently does not.

Appreciated. The plain phrasing does more work here than a longer post would.
Marking my uncertainty on cold solution and stinging explicitly. I am confident about the direction, much less confident about the size, and not confident at all that it generalises past the case in the first post.

If you have to inject at a different time of day than usual, that is a much smaller perturbation than it feels for a weekly compound with a week-long half-life.

Injecting slowly is worth doing for volume rather than for chemistry. Larger volumes delivered quickly are the ones people report as uncomfortable.
That is the practical version. The rigorous version is longer and says the same thing.

Where I part company with post #35, and it is a narrow parting.
One more thing on cold solution and stinging that took me far too long to see: the two figures people quote are not measuring the same quantity. Once you notice that, the apparent contradiction disappears.
Post #39 is the version of this I will quote in future. One addition.
