A narrow question about Excipient function, deliberately narrow, because the broad version has been asked here four times and produced four long threads and no answer.

One question, stated units, stated method, and what I have already ruled out.

The honest summary: a licensed formulation is a designed system and a reconstituted research preparation is not one. Everything published about the first is at best a starting point for the second.

Excipient identity should be on the document and rarely is. A vial containing bulking agent and a vial containing only peptide behave differently on reconstitution and weigh differently.

Filing this under things that are true until someone shows me otherwise.
