Heart failure with preserved ejection keeps being re-asked here and I think that is because the answer is conditional and the conditions never travel with it.
Attempting to write the conditional version down properly. Corrections welcome and expected — I would like this to end up as a maintained page rather than a fifth thread.
Where the honest answer is "nobody knows", giving it plainly is more useful than a confident synthesis of mechanism and anecdote.
Reading it back, the second half matters more than the first.
The most common failure in this subcategory is answering a specific person's question as though it were the general one. They deserve different answers.
Posting it because the silence on this was starting to look like agreement.
This follows post #16 rather than contradicting it.
Post-authorisation safety studies are the place where under-studied populations eventually appear, and they are public.
Worth checking against a second source before it gets quoted onward.
Gastrointestinal conditions interact with a mechanism that slows gastric emptying in ways that are plausible and largely unstudied.
This is the version I would want a new member to read first.
