The most useful reply I ever got about Insomnia was a request to state my units. It sounds like pedantry and it has saved me twice.
Reporting rather than recommending, on Insomnia. What happened is above. Whether it should have is a different question and not one I am qualified to answer.
An update on my earlier Insomnia post: the pattern held for another six weeks and then stopped, which I did not predict and cannot explain.
The practical version of Insomnia is three sentences long. The rigorous version is three pages and reaches the same conclusion with the conditions attached.
Insomnia is worth one more sentence than it usually gets, and the sentence is the one about how the number was arrived at.
What I want from this Insomnia thread is the list of things that would need to be true for the claim to hold. If we can write that list, we can check it.
