Post #119 is right about the mechanism and I think understates the practical bit.

Practical note on site rotation scheme: write down what you expect before you look. The number of times I have found what I went looking for is higher than chance would allow.

Site rotation scheme is one of those subjects where the general answer and the answer for a specific case diverge, and the thread will go in circles until someone says which one is being asked for.

If you have to inject at a different time of day than usual, that is a much smaller perturbation than it feels for a weekly compound with a week-long half-life.

Drawing up with one needle and injecting with another: a reasonable practice if you have extra needles. Fresh needle for injection reduces tissue drag and can decrease discomfort. Not necessary, but not harmful either.
