Assessing a warm arrival: the decision process
Where I would push back on the assessing a warm arrival consensus is the confidence, not the direction. The direction looks right. The confidence is borrowed.
Post #9 and I disagree about the size of the effect, not about the direction.
Adding the boring version of assessing a warm arrival, because the interesting version keeps getting posted and the boring one is usually right.
Check the ordinary explanations, in order, and stop when one of them accounts for what you are seeing. Most of the time the second one does.
Post #12 put the caveat in the right place and I want to underline it.
Packaging integrity on arrival: if a parcel arrives with compromised packaging, that is evidence of a handling problem in transit. The contents may or may not be compromised but you have reason to be cautious.
If that is already documented somewhere, ignore me and link it.
