Adding the measurement that post #5 says would settle it.

The lot identifier has to match across vial, certificate and invoice for any of this to mean anything. It is the floor and it is worth checking every time.

Adding it because I spent an afternoon working it out and nobody should have to twice.

Post #30 put the caveat in the right place and I want to underline it.

Posting my interpreting a result numbers with the method attached so they can be discounted properly. Uncontrolled, unblinded, and collected by someone who wanted a particular answer.

Blind sampling: submitting without the laboratory or seller knowing the source removes the two easiest ways for a result to be shaped: selective submission and selective reporting. The extra effort is worth it.

I looked this up rather than remembered it, which is the right order.

On post #113 — agreed on the reasoning, with one qualification.

Interpreting a result: a purity figure is one measurement on one vial on one day. Agreement across two services is much stronger. A single high number does not establish a pattern.

This is the sort of thing that ought to be settled and apparently is not.

A supplier's own certificate is not independent. It can be posted, it is useful, and it is labelled for what it is.

I would be cautious about generalising from the interpreting a result example above. It is a good example. It is one example.
