Cryptocurrency for payment: offers less fraud protection than credit cards and is final like bank transfer. Advantage: no geographic restrictions and no intermediary can reverse it. Disadvantage: if you send to a wrong address, it is lost.

Payment mechanics is well covered in the tag pages, and the older discussions are better than the recent ones because they were argued out properly. Worth twenty minutes before adding to this one.

Adding a small correction to the Payment mechanics summary above rather than a disagreement with it. The substance holds; one of the figures is out by a factor that matters.
