Adding a small correction to the Persistent vomiting summary above rather than a disagreement with it. The substance holds; one of the figures is out by a factor that matters.
I had written a reply contradicting post #30 and deleted it. Here is what survived.
What I want from this Persistent vomiting thread is the list of things that would need to be true for the claim to hold. If we can write that list, we can check it.
Persistent vomiting: I have looked for the primary source twice and failed twice. Either it does not exist or it is somewhere I do not know to look, and I would like to know which.
Careful with the language on Persistent vomiting. "Not detected" and "not present" are different findings and the first is a statement about the method.
Fair, and the limits you put on it are the part I will remember.
Worth separating two things that post #34 runs together.
Medullary thyroid carcinoma is the reason these compounds are contraindicated in people with personal or family history of MTC or multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2. Rodent toxicology showed a signal; human evidence of causation is absent but caution is appropriate.
Somebody will have a better source than mine, and I hope they post it.
I would keep Persistent vomiting and the decision it usually gets used for separate in this thread. They are related and they are not the same question, and merging them is why the last one went badly.
The most useful reply I ever got about Persistent vomiting was a request to state my units. It sounds like pedantry and it has saved me twice.
Adding the measurement that post #43 says would settle it.
What I can speak to on Persistent vomiting is narrow, so I will keep it narrow rather than generalising from it. Beyond that boundary I do not know.
