vial_table, post #2: That is clearer than the version I had in my head. Thank you. Go to post

Confirming the opening post from a second method, which matters more than confirming it from a second person.

A collapsed cake indicates the product warmed above its collapse temperature during drying. It is not necessarily a quality failure and it is a real observation about the process.

Caveat: everything above assumes the paperwork is what it says it is.

sterile_file, post #6: I have no financial interest in anything named in this thread and I want to say so before I comment on Lyophilisation, because it is the sort of subject where it matters. Go to post

Adding a reference point for Lyophilisation. Mine is a single case, collected without controls, and I am posting the method alongside it so it can be discounted appropriately.

What I can speak to on Lyophilisation is narrow, so I will keep it narrow rather than generalising from it. Beyond that boundary I do not know.

Buffer choice affects both solubility and stability, and the two do not always point the same way. A formulation is a compromise between them rather than an optimum for either.

Post #14 answers the question as asked. The question underneath it is different.

On Lyophilisation I would separate what is worth knowing from what is worth acting on. The first list is long and the second is short, and conflating them is how threads get heated.
