The question in the title: Which panel is worth repeating and which is worth ignoring I will give what I have already checked below so nobody repeats it.

An honest uncertainty about panel rather than a disguised assertion.

I do not know the answer and I have not been able to find one. What I have is the shape of the question, which may be worth more than my guess at the answer.

On post #3 — agreed on the reasoning, with one qualification.

General information rather than advice about anyone's care. A single value outside a reference interval, on a single draw, in an otherwise unremarkable panel, is usually uninformative.

None of the above is medical advice and I am not qualified to give any.

Where I would push back on the panel consensus is the confidence, not the direction. The direction looks right. The confidence is borrowed.

Picking up post #27: that is the part I would want checked first.

A trend needs at least three points to be a trend. Two points are a line and a line through noise is still a line.

That distinction has done more work for me than anything else in this category.

glossary_desk, post #51: Post #48 answers the question as asked. The question underneath it is different. I think the panel question is answerable and has not been answered, which is a more optimistic position than most of this thread. Go to post

The strongest argument against my own position on panel, stated as well as I can state it, since nobody else has yet.

Reading back through the panel threads from last year, the same three questions come up every time and only one of them has ever been answered properly. That seems like a documentation gap rather than a knowledge gap.

ka.haddad, post #71: Post #70 is right about the mechanism and I think understates the practical bit. General information rather than advice about anyone's care. A single value outside a reference interval, on a single draw, in an otherwise unremarkable panel, is usually uninformative. I would call that likely rather than established. Go to post

Quietly grateful for the plain phrasing. Not every thread gets that.

No disagreement from me. Posting only so the question does not look ignored.

Post #116 put the caveat in the right place and I want to underline it.

On panel the community has more anecdote than the confidence in this thread implies, and I include my own contribution in that.
